JOB SUMMARY: Implements, monitors, evaluates opportunities and calendars relating to media outreach, advertising, internal and external e-newsletters and social media to support marketing objectives and maximize the positive exposure in local, national and global markets. Responsible for promotions of key products including coordination of advertising, print & digital promotions, collateral development and other supporting activities including special projects. Provides administrative support as requested.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*:
- Plans, oversees and executes promotional activities including social media, print, electronic media, e-newsletters, direct mail and advertising.
- Develops and implements promotions surrounding events, special projects and overall brand utilizing all advertising, event and media opportunities.
- Manages a consistent corporate image for promotional materials, proposals, presentation and events.
- Conducts marketing analysis and market research.
- Coordinates and implements literature and collateral development and distribution.
- Processes incoming marketing communications invoices, request for payments and purchase prior approvals.
- Coordinates across functional divisions, departments and regions to manage a consistent brand message for promotional materials, print and digital media.
- Acts within scope of authority and consistent with company objectives and policies.
- Ensures that deadlines and budgets are met.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Must have outstanding analytical and writing skills. The writing skill level must be persuasive.
- Must have excellent knowledge of marketing and advertising. Must have a working understanding of the seed industry.
- Must be knowledgeable of the fast-moving developments in the sales field and seed industry.
- Creative, strategic and conceptual thinker, able to translate concepts into practice.
- Must be decisive, result-oriented, and innovative.
- Basic creative design program knowledge and capabilities.
EXPERIENCE AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED:
- Minimum 2-years Sales and Marketing experience in seed, ornamentals, vegetable or related industry.
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
- An undergraduate college degree in marketing, business administration, economics or finance or its equivalent in training and experience required.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to work long and/or irregular hours.
- Must be able to travel for long periods of time throughout the year.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
- Salary: $69,000-$73,000 per year
